Wordpress is the most popular blogging engine available on the net. Most of user today have an option to publish their opinion, documentation with ease. Below is step by step on how to start writing a post in web site. If you don't have any blog site taday, read this article and start now.

Step 1: Get Started With Wordpress

There are plenty of web site which offering blogging activity free of charge such as wordpress (wordpress.com), blogger (www.blogger.com), and blog (www.blog.com). For this example, we will use wordpress as our blogging tool.

We need to register first before we are able to posting our first post. Click button "Sign up now" to start.

After clicking sign up button, we will get registration form need to be filled up. Please make sure you provide correct email address as it is necessary for you to do email activation from your email. Please check on "Legal flotsam" to proceed on the next step.

After that we will have another form need to be completed. I will describe each one of field below

• Blog Domain - the domain name of your blog site. For this example, you can use http://johagood.wordpress.com/ to view my blog.
• Blog title - It the title of your blog and you have an option to change it later if you are not satisfied with the title.
• Language - For time being, we have only few option.
• Privacy - Please make sure this checkbox is clicked to enable search engine list your blog to public.

After satisfied with the configuration, click sign up to proceed.

After click on sign up button, wordpress automatically send an email to your mailbox. Just click on the email link sent by wordpress to activate your registration. Meanwhile, please input your profile data as per image below.

Step 2: Login to Wordpress

After completing registration process, we need to login to enable us publish any content. Please refer the image below and input your login id and password.

Please make sure you are not public computer if you want to click on "remember me" checkbox.

After successful login, click on "My Dashboard" to get control of your account.

Step 3: Change Blog Theme

Wordpress have a feature which enable user to change their theme with a few click. To change a theme, click "Change Theme" button and you will get new screen as per image below.

For this example, we will use Regulus theme as it look really nice to me. To select this theme, just click on the "Activate" link or you also can also can view the change by click on "Preview" link.

Remember to click "Activate regulus" to use this theme on all of your posting.

Step 4: Posting a Content

There are a lot of tools we can play around here such as "Bold", "Italic", "List", "Paragraph alignment" and  hyperlink. It's really easy to use as microsoft office. You can also choose between "Visual" and "HTML" mode. "HTML mode created for expert who are familiar with HTML format. For this example, we will put another important thing in document - hyperlink.

Step 5: Inserting hyperlink

This step is necessary to insert any relevant/reference link in your post. As per image below, we need to highlight www.mindster.net

Click on hyperlink button as per image below and you will get another dialogue box with "Insert/edit link"

Please make sure the hyperlink is correct, example above shown us that the hyperlink is not correct, remove duplicate "http://" in the link url to make it working. This dialogue box also provide target option which enable you to select whether to open another browser to display the link or in the same browser.

Step 6: Save & Publish

After you satisfy with your post, simply click "save draft" to save all your work and click "Preview" button to view all your post in public. Last step after you satisfied with your post  is by clicking "publish button" on the right bottom.

Step 7: View the result

This is the result we working on. Pretty easy huh, you can publish your blog within less then one hour.
