This is a book that I have read which I find utterly useful, beneficial and powerful.
Although it sounds and looks like a book meant for business people or people who are in
sales, its contents are explained in a language that is easily understood, so much so, that
even if you're not in business and/or sales you'll definitely appreciate and can reap the
benefits from understanding adn applying the skills that business people/sales people
have.
The following is a narration on the book based on quotes from the book; in how
I feel as part of the summary of the book's powerful contents.
Do you have something that you wish for? Do you constantly wish for them? Are they big
wishes or small silly simple wishes like, not needing to wake up today and go to work
because its raining and the weather is ABSOLUTELY PERFECTY to go back to sleep :p
Everyone knows the answer to these questions. Everyone would like a good life if there
no cost to it.But that's the catch...there is a COST to it. Infact, there is a COST in
doing anything worthwhile.
Therefore
the question is: How much do you really want these things? Are you serious about it? Are
you willing to pay the price? This is where discipline and desire comes into
place.
However, the modern world despite its many benefits has a hidden danger: the modern
world have given most people what they need. But, do they have what they want?
Discipline: The ability to habitually make yourself do something you
don't particularly want to do even though you know its good for you.
Desire: The burning fire inside of you, the unwavering want for your
passion and your goal.
Discipline + Desire = The blueprint of your future plans.
Why is discipline so important and powerful? - Because you can make
your dreams and goals a reality when yhou simply choose to invite discipline into
your life and buils a wall of success. - Because only through discipline will you
achieve riches/successw.
Mark Twain once said, "Do something everyday that you don't want to do" Why? Because
this is the golden rule of doing your duty (whatever that is) without pain. Infact, on a
daily basis we should do our best to keep moving incrementally toward our goal (of being a
millionaire, or whatever your goal is) and living the life you want.
-Narrated based on CONGRATULATIONS! YOU'RE A MILLIONAIRE! by Brian Gotta (ISBN
